Veteran Benefits

The Servicemember Civil Relief Act was created by the federal government to aid active duty military personell.  The provisions of the Act apply to those servicemembers with debt owed prior to being called to active duty.  Creditors are required to reduce the interest rate to 6% if applicable.  The debts can include consumer debt (credit cards, etc.), mortgages, and student loans.  Interest rates will be reduced automatically so each servicemember should contact individual creditors and request the rate to be reduced.

Please pass this information along to any friends or family members who are listed in active duty.
